Techings Of The Pain Body

Eckhart Tolle teaches us of something called the pain-body. It’s very simple if you just feel the words. The pain Body arises in the body as discomfort, unease, unhappiness and many other forms. It can often be felt on the solar plexus and it will rise up into the chest manifesting its self with heat and a faster heart rate. Even the words I say now may give it some energy within your body. We are taught that some pain bodies are very slight, like an annoyance or maybe resignation about life. Other pain bodies can lead to psychosis, anger so strong it can lead to rage and violence etc.

Immediately during the discussion about the pain body the question arises; what are we to do about this? What method or trick is there to rid ourselves of this pain-body?

To this I would say, the question is broken. Its like asking what can be done about the ocean being so wet. Any question such as this only serves to create more suffering and discomfort.

The best thing to do is allow the pain body to be exactly as it is. In other words do nothing, and allow that nothingness to swallow up the suffering. Because doing something will only create more energy that the pain body can feed on.

Be still, be aware, be calm. There is nothing to do, all that needs to be already is.
